About this Event
The 4 Doorways of Embodiment™
A Shamanic Yoga Flow Through the Four Directions
Join us for a sacred journey of breath, movement, and embodied wisdom as we explore the Four Directions through the lens of Diné (Navajo) philosophy and traditional teachings.
Guided by Ron Interpreter (Diné), this monthly yoga practice invites us to reconnect with the natural rhythms of life, honoring the interconnectedness of mind, body, spirit, and Mother Earth.
Moving with the path of the sun, we journey through four symbolic doorways:
- East – Air: Awakening the breath and planting seeds of intention.
- South – Earth: Finding grounding, stability, and connection to Mother Earth.
- West – Water: Flowing with our emotions, relationships, and inner wisdom.
- North – Fire: Honoring transformation, integration, and renewal.
Through gentle yoga flow, intentional breathwork, mindful movement, and community circle, we cultivate a deeper relationship with ourselves and the living world around us.
Rooted in the understanding that all living beings share the sacred breath of life, this practice offers an opportunity to slow down, listen inward, and return to a place of harmony and balance — what the Diné call Hózhó, walking in beauty.
Each gathering offers a space to nurture the body, quiet the mind, and carry these teachings into everyday life. Participants will also learn the Four Breaths, a simple two-minute daily practice to continue their journey at home.
All levels and abilities are welcome, with gentle modifications offered throughout.
