The annual HOLIDAY HONEY SALE is the main fundraising event for the Clemson Apiculture and Pollinator Program (CAPP). CAPP conducts honey bee research and beekeeper training for students, University personnel, and the general public statewide. CAPP manages the University’s bee yards to support honey bee research and extension activities. In addition to providing scientific inquiry and experiential learning, these working bee yards generate honey, and students along with aspiring beekeepers participate in caring for the bees as well as harvesting, processing and marketing the honey. All of the honey sold at the Holiday Honey Sale is generated in the University’s bee yards, processed in University facilities with student assistance, and meets South Carolina’s food safety guidelines.
Honey makes a great holiday gift for friends and family, and every cent of your purchase supports honey bee research and beekeeper education.
