Brooke Vitale Dixon (BVD) is a powerhouse rock band built on the legacy, experience, and musicianship of some of the most accomplished artists in modern rock history. Blending classic influences with a fresh, high-energy sound, BVD delivers a live and recorded experience that resonates with fans of authentic, guitar-driven music.
At the core of the band is Joe Vitale, legendary drummer known for his work with icons such as Joe Walsh, Crosby, Stills & Nash, and Buffalo Springfield. His unmistakable groove and decades of touring and recording experience form the rhythmic backbone of the group.
On bass is Don Dixon, a celebrated producer and musician whose work helped define the sound of artists like R.E.M., The Smithereens, and Mary Chapin Carpenter. In addition to his production success, Dixon brings his own seasoned musicianship and solo artistry to the band’s dynamic low end.
Fronting the group is Eric Brooke, lead vocalist and guitarist, whose powerful voice and commanding stage presence drive the band’s identity. Brooke is also known for performing alongside members of the Michael Stanley Band—Danny Powers, Gary Markasky, and Michael Gismondi—in In The Heartland: The Music of the Michael Stanley Band. His original recordings have been shaped by legendary producers Keith Olsen and Butch Vig, further cementing his place among elite rock talent.
On guitar is Joe Vitale Jr., who is also the drummer for Donnie Iris and a member of the band Ravenwood. His versatility and energy add a modern edge while complementing the band’s classic rock foundation.
Brooke Vitale Dixon has released their debut album, “BVD,” available on all major music platforms. The album showcases their signature blend of melodic rock, tight musicianship, and seasoned songwriting. In concert, the band performs selections from BVD along with songs connected to their extensive collective careers, creating a setlist that is both nostalgic and electrifying.
