NEW THIS YEAR: A SPECIAL GLOW FOR A SPECIAL CAUSE
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the memory of Pumpkin Glow founder Judy Chaffin, we are proud to collaborate with Pink Ribbon Good for a meaningful new addition to this year's event. Beginning at 5:00 PM on Monday, October 26th, the community is invited to join us on the Hill to place one of nearly 125 pink lights inside a pumpkin of their choosing. Approximately 1 out of every 8 pumpkins will glow pink, representing the 1 in 8 women who will experience breast cancer during their lifetime. Place a light in honor, memory, or support of someone touched by breast cancer. Participation is donation-based, with cash-only donations benefiting Pink Ribbon Good. Cash donations will also be collected throughout both nights of the Glow. FOOD TRUCKS will be back both evenings, so come hungry!PARKING will be available at The Dayton Art Institute, Dayton Masonic Center, Kettering Health Dayton off West Grand Avenue, and throughout the Grafton Hill neighborhood
.PLEASE NOTE: Stoddard Avenue will be closed from 5:00-11:00 PM both nights for the safety and enjoyment of our guests. Want to help gut, trace, and carve the pumpkins that make the Glow possible? Volunteer at pumpkinglow.org
Come for the pumpkins. Come for the tradition. This year, help us make the Hill glow with even more meaning.
