Her lyrics—sometimes heartfelt, sometimes funny—are always authentic and drawn from her lived experience, harnessing the power of story to build connection. Her 2024 album, Signposts and Marks, debuted at #4 on the FAI Folk DJ Chart, and Americana UK praised her as “a songwriter of the highest order.”
Erin was the 2026 recipient of the Focus Music Rising Artist Award, the 2025 winner of the Wildflower Performing Songwriter contest, a “Most Wanted” selection from the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, and a 2025 Honorable Mention at the Rocky Mountain Folks Fest Songwriter Showcase.
She is also the three-time winner of her hometown’s Fourth of July Pie Eating Contest. And of course there's a song about that.
"A special talent that reminds me of early Dar Williams" ---John Platt, WFUV
"So what do you do when you come across an artist who hits the ground running after a break from doing music with songwriting like this? You put your own nose to your own grindstone and hope that you too can take storytelling clarity, mix it effortlessly with 'I’ve never heard it said like that' metaphor, and come up with anything that sounds like Erin Ash Sullivan’s recent collection of perfect, evocative, little movies. Well, that’s what I want to do." ---Vance Gilbert
