The Southern Drawl December Fly Tournament returns for 2026 as a two-day, catch-photo-release fly-fishing tournament built around late-fall and early-winter sight fishing for Lowcountry redfish.
Tournament Format & General Rules
$350 Entry Fee
- Maximum of (2) Anglers per vessel
Captain's Meeting: Southern Drawl Outfitters
Decemeber 2nd, Wednesday, 6PM
Fishing Days: Friday December 4th & Saturday December 5th
Fishing Hours:
Lines In: 7:00 AM
Lines Out: 4:00PM
Launch Requirements: All teams must launch from a Beaufort or Jasper County Boat Ramp
Fishing Boundaries: South Carolina Waters
Awards Party: TBD - Raffles, Prizes, Food & cold Beer
Scoring is based on the combined length of three redfish per team per day, measured on the official tournament bump board. Fish must be photographed clearly with the measurement visible, and tie-breakers are determined by earliest timestamp.
This is a catch-and-release event. No bait, scent, chumming, drones, ponds, lagoons, or enclosed private waters are permitted. Sportsmanship and respect for the resource are expected throughout the tournament.
