Help local families enjoy a Thanksgiving meal this holiday season!PARC is collecting donations to assemble 100 Thanksgiving meal baskets or more for local families in need through its second annual PARCsGiving initiative.
Donate Through November 6
Community members can help fill Thanksgiving meal baskets by donating non-perishable items such as the following:
Rice (1–2 lb. bag)
Canned green beans
Canned corn
Cornbread mix
Dessert items, such as cake mix, brownie mix, or pie filling and crust
Handwritten notes of encouragement, a meaningful no-cost way for students, seniors and others to participate
Donation drop-off locations:
Girard Park Recreation Center: Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–9 p.m.
Lafayette City Hall: Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.
Any PARC Recreation Center: Monday–Friday, 2–9 p.m.
Volunteer to Pack Meal Baskets
Volunteers are also needed to help PARC assemble the donated items into Thanksgiving meal baskets. Volunteer opportunities are available ahead of the Day of Giving.

The Day of Giving | November 20
On Friday, November 20, 2026, completed Thanksgiving meal baskets will be available to local families on a first come, first served basis while supplies last.
