Get ready for a day of fun and adventure as OARS brings the party to the Houston Disc Golf Course for the second annual OARSathalon! Join us at the beautiful park for a thrilling competition that combines running, throwing, and tossing, along with a BBQ lunch and trophies, all in one exciting day.
Whether you're a seasoned pro or a beginner looking for a new challenge, this event is perfect for all skill levels. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to test your skills and enjoy a day out in the park with fellow outdoor enthusiasts. See you there!

10:30 Arrival and Warm Up, pick teams for 2 and 4 person events

Info: Arrival and registration. Select your teams and get ready for the first event!

Info: A road run around the park loops, an easy 11,250 Bananas (2km) all within the park. Bring your favorite pair of running shoes.

Info: Who can throw the office chair the farthest? Conjure up your best office rage and throw that muther as far as you can chuck it. We won't record what you say as you throw it. Best of two throws per person. *We are currently checking to see if this activity is allowed in the park

Info: Each player starts with three discs. Begin 12 bananas away from the basket and throw, stepping back 6 bananas after each throw, increase the distance. If you miss a throw the disc is removed from the game and you must throw again to attempt to move backwards. When a player has no discs, they must exit the game. The last person standing at the end of the last round wins. If there is not a clear winner, there could be a throw-off to determine the winner.

Info: Who can throw the longest drive? Best distance along a line made directly out from the tee box marked with a basket. Separate categories for Men's and Women's this year.

Info: Arguably the most competitive and controversial of the OARSathalon events. The rules will be that one must consume a fizzy drink (since the park does not officially allow alcahol, it could be a hop water, maybe even sparkling soda) in its entirety for time starting from the moment the tab is pulled on the aluminum can until there is no longer a steady stream of liquid or foam coming from the uptilted can. if more than half a shot glass can be recovered from the contestants can, they are disqualified.

Info: Undoubtedly the smack talk will have reached its height at this point and people will be making up new ways to measure themselves. There will be a 3-Hole individual game set up for each to score on their own. There will also be an (up to) 4-person team playing best disc (best ball) rules. Tie Breakers will be held on the first hole if needed, continuing on until there is a winner.

Info: A fun-spiritized announcement of the winners of the day's events. Overall winners will be announced and the event will wrap up by 4PM.
