About this Event

🥾 2nd Annual Holiday Give Back Hike 💚

Hiking to Support Our Community!

This is more than just a hike! It’s an opportunity to give back, connect with others, and help support families facing food insecurity across Georgia.

❤️ HIKE WITH A PURPOSE!

This year’s charity hike will benefit the Atlanta Community Food Bank, and we’re asking all participants to bring canned goods or other nonperishable food items from the Food Bank’s most-needed items list.

We’re also encouraging every hiker to donate at least $1. Just $1 can help provide up to 3 meals! Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference.

💚 Want to donate your dollar ahead of time?

You can make your donation directly through our official Atlanta Community Food Bank fundraising page:

https://give.acfb.org/WeOutsideGaHolidayGiveBackHike

Please make sure to register for the hike through Eventbrite so we know you’re coming!

‼️‼️Stone Mountain Park requires a parking pass or applicable vehicle entry fee.‼️‼️

🌳 WHAT TO EXPECT ON THE TRAIL

The Cherokee Trail is a scenic, approximately 5-mile hike featuring wooded paths, rocky and uneven terrain, exposed roots, hills, and elevation changes.

This is a moderate, family-friendly hike, but participants should be physically prepared to complete the full 5 miles.

We will be hiking at a relaxed, comfortable pace. This is NOT a race!

If you enjoy moving quickly on the trails, that’s perfectly fine, but our group will be taking its time, enjoying nature, and making sure everyone has an opportunity to enjoy the experience.

Families, individuals, experienced hikers, and those looking to connect with an outdoor community are all welcome!

🎒 WHAT TO BRING

  • Canned goods or other requested food donations
  • At least $1 for our charity collection, if you’re able, or donate online ahead of time
  • Plenty of water
  • Comfortable hiking shoes with good traction
  • Snacks for the trail
  • Weather-appropriate clothing
  • A positive attitude and a heart for giving back!

🌦️ WEATHER & EVENT UPDATES

In the event of inclement weather or unsafe trail conditions, the hike will be rescheduled.

Please follow WE OUTSIDE GA on Facebook and Instagram for all event announcements, weather updates, and schedule changes.

💚 COME OUTSIDE. GIVE BACK. MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

Whether you’re joining us for the hike, the cause, or the community, we’re excited to have you!

All are welcome! Register through Eventbrite, bring your donations, and let’s hit the trails to support our community!
