An outdoor event unique to South Jersey focused on meeting past community members while walking along Main Street!About this Event
Overview:
The 26th annual Ghost Walk for 2026 features stops and characters along with the tour being lead by a Storyteller Guide. Attendees will meet some new historic character ghosts and of course favorites of past tours will return. Both tour guides and ghostly characters will share stories of their lives and events along the west side of Main St. in historic downtown Mays Landing. The tour is a wonderful family/community event focusing on local history. A unique way to represent the qualities of historical events and people who developed the Twp. of Hamilton. in Atlantic County.
Event Date: Saturday, October 24, 2026( Rain or Shine - see weather policy below)
Tour Times: Tours will begin at 5:00pm and will leave every 10 minutes. Last tour 8:00pm
Tickets: Adults: $16.00 , Children (age 5-17) : $10.00 , Children (under age 5): free
Distance/Duration: Tour is approximately 1 mile in distance and will last 60 minutes to 90 minutes.
Check-in: 15 minutes before your tour time. You will be asked to show a printed copy of your online purchase receipt or a digital copy on your mobile device.
Policies:
Weather: This event is rain or shine unless weather is deemed too hazardous which will be decided by the HHS board of directors. Payment will be considered a donation to our nonprofit. Attendees may request in writing a $5.00 coupon to next Ghost Walk .
Parking: There is a free parking municipal lot on 2nd Street (behind the Court House).
Smoking Policy:
For the health and comfort of all tour participants, we ask that tour participants refain from smoking, vaping or otherwise during the tour and while waiting for the tour to start at the tour meeting place.
No Pet Policy:
We can't accommodate pets during our tours, though service animals needed for accessibility are permitted.
Late Arrival Policy:
Out of respect for other tour-goers and to keep our tours running on schedule, we cannot delay our tour start times. Please remember to arrive to the correct location (Fellowship Hall) at the check-in time. We do not grant refunds to guests who fail to arrive to the appointed place on time and miss their tour.
Bathroom Facilities:
We do not pass by a public restroom during the tour, so please plan your breaks for before or after the tour. There are bathroom facilities at the start of the tour location.
Refund Policy:
All ticket sales are final. No refunds.*

Registration/ticketing
Info: Annual fundraising event that guides tour attendees down Main Street to view historical figures and hear past community members. All tickets require pre-registration for tours which will start every 10 minutes and tour is about 1 hour. Each tour is capped at 16 attendees(children under 5 are free and not included in tour size). Participants will be walking along Main St. in Mays Landing for an approximately 1 mile walk.
