Grab your Halloween mask, rally the family, and join us for the 26th Annual Cooperstown Halloween 5K & 10K! Choose the fun and festive 5K run/walk or double the challenge with the 10K. The scenic course winds through the charming Village of Cooperstown and is mostly flat, with a gentle half-mile hill near the finish to keep things interesting.Open to runners and walkers of all ages and experience levels, this fall favorite features scenic views, a spirited community atmosphere, and a Halloween costume contest for youth and adults.
LOCATION
The race starts and ends at The Clark Sports Center, 124 County Highway 52, Cooperstown, NY, 13326. It is a moderately difficult course that travels the roads in the Village of Cooperstown. The 5k race will travel the course once, while the 10k will travel the course two times and both conclude at The Clark Sports Center.
COST
Shirt Only • $25 on or before October 8.
5k/10k Race • Individual registration on or before October 19: $30; October 20–25: $45
Group Race Registration on or before October 19:
• 3 Member Group:$75. All children must be 18 or under. Individual registrations must be completed for each member.
• 4 Member Group: $90. All children must be 18 or under. Individual registrations must be completed for each member.
• 5 Member Group: $100. All children must be 18 or under. Individual registrations must be completed for each member.
(Group registration is not available after October 19.)
Register on or before October 8, 2026 to receive a 2026 event shirt!
REGISTRATION
Runners may pre-register online at: https://cooploop.itsyourrace.com/event.aspx?id=4781 OR at the Fitness Center Desk or by mail.
Registration is available at The Clark Sports Center on the day of the race. Pre-registered runners may pick up their race bags in our Main Lobby starting at 8:30am. Runners who register on the day of the race may also do so in the Main Lobby starting at 8:30am.
COSTUME CONTEST
Prizes will be awarded for kids and adults the following categories: Scariest, Funniest, Best Group, and Best Overall
AWARDS
The Awards Ceremony will take place outside (in case of poor weather, the awards will be presented inside the Sports Center in the Main Lobby). Awards will be presented immediately following the race.
OTHER RACE INFO
• The race is a rain or shine event.
• A water stop will be placed near the half way mark and at the end.
• Animals are not allowed on Clark Sports Center property at any time (exception: service animals).
• Please note that traffic will be allowed on the streets and we will staff each major intersection.
• Please avoid personal listening devices.
