The St. Mary’s County Historical Society invites the community to enjoy a FREE afternoon of local music, history, and fellowship at Under the Oaks at Historic Tudor Hall on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.!The free outdoor event will feature David and Joe Norris, local favorites performing songs inspired by St. Mary’s County and Southern Maryland. Guests are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket, gather under the historic oaks at Tudor Hall, and enjoy an afternoon designed for the entire family.
Music Under the Oaks is being presented as part of the Historical Society’s celebration of its 75th anniversary and the continuing commemoration of America’s 250th anniversary, providing an opportunity for residents and visitors to come together while celebrating the stories, traditions, and community that make St. Mary’s County unique.
Food and specialty beverages will be available for purchase during the afternoon. Treats by the Pan will offer funnel cake fries, FrostLab water ice drinks, and lemonade. Primal Brew Coffee Co. will offer dirty sodas, iced coffees, dirty energy drinks, and iced chai teas.
The event is made possible with the support of community sponsors. Jimmy Hayden, a realtor with RE/MAX One, is the presenting sponsor. Additional support is being provided by Fenwick St. Books, Carroll’s Service Center, JHC Architectural Woodwork, Cedar Point Federal Credit Union, and Heritage Printing & Graphics, along with a grant from the Leonardtown Arts & Entertainment District.
