# 250th Commemoration of the Retreat from Fort Lee, 1776
**November 20, 21, and 22, 2026**
Join the commemoration of the historic 1776 retreat from Fort Lee, New Jersey, featuring Revolutionary War reenactments, historical presentations, guided hikes, encampments, and special programs marking America's 250th anniversary.
### FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 20
**Fort Lee Historic Park**
"The 1776 Round-Trip: British Invasion and the Great Retreat Across the Jerseys"
Illustrated talk with historian Todd Braisted at 7 PM.
**The Kearny House**
"British Encampment" open house program from 7 to 9 PM.
### SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 21
**The Kearny House**
"Theater of the Retreat" guided history hike.
Morning hikes at 8 AM and 11 AM, plus a 2 PM hike.
Reservations required.
**Fort Lee Historic Park**
Revolutionary War reenactor encampment featuring historical presentations, a hands-on "Monument Park" battle reenactment, and tours of the original 1776 encampment site.
All day from 9 AM to 6 PM.
### SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 22
**RETREAT REENACTMENTS**
Experience reenactments commemorating the Continental Army's historic retreat from Fort Lee in November 1776.
Marches begin from Overpeck at Fort Lee at 8 AM and 10 AM, arriving at Historic New Bridge Landing at 11:15 AM.
