The 250th Anniversary of the Battle of Ridgefield / Danbury Raid / Retreat to Compo Beach will be a multi-town, immersive Revolutionary War commemoration taking place April 23–25, 2027, retracing the historic route of the 1777 British raid through Danbury, Ridgefield, and Westport, Connecticut. The weekend will feature large-scale tactical reenactments, educational programming, school outreach, and period demonstrations, with Ridgefield serving as the central encampment and focal point of the event. Organized in partnership with local municipalities and representing the Brigade of the American Revolution and Continental Line organizations, the commemoration will bring together hundreds of high-quality reenactors to honor the soldiers and civilians whose actions shaped Connecticut’s Revolutionary War history.
