🎬 АКЦЕНТИ В ПРОГРАМАТА:
• Презентация на Майкъл Дилън (Австралия) – един от най-награждаваните режисьори в света на приключенски филми и личен оператор и приятел на сър Едмънд Хилари. Той пристига от Австралия със специална филмова панорама и истории за съвместните му експедиции с легендата.
• Първо гостуване на Бартек Жемски (Полша) – ски-алпинистът осъществява едно от най-впечатляващите хималайски изкачвания за сезона на четвъртия по височина връх в света – Лхотце (8516 м), след което се спуска със ски до Базовия лагер без фиксирани въжета, без подкрепа от шерпи и без допълнителен кислород, а седмица след Лхотце прави спускане и от Еверест.
• Презентация на Кирил Досков – „240 години – съвременен алпинизъм, първото изкачване на Монблан“.
• Премиера на „Old Man Lightning“ – хитов хумористичен филм и мотивационна лекция на режисьорката от САЩ Доун Киш. Разказ за легендата на американския боулдъринг Джон „Verm“ Шърман и опита му да се завърне към емблематичния Midnight Lightning.
• Премиера на ски филма „Downhill Skiers – Ain't No Mountain Steep Enough“ – на известния австрийски режисьор Гералд Салмина. Филм за пристрастяващия ефект на екстремните спускания.
• Премиера на френския филм „4000 from home“ – за грандиозния проект на екстремния скиор Вивиан Бруше да се спусне със ски от всички 82 върха в Алпите с височина над 4000 м.
• Премиера на „Cherry on the Cake“ / „Черешката на тортата“ – заповядайте на борда на кораба „Камак“, който плава към Гренландия и нейните девствени скали с любимите ни белгийци Шон Вилануева, Никола Фаврес и Жан-Луи Верц.
• Премиера на японския филм „A Horse Is a Human’s Wings“ – японският пътешественик Юджи Танигучи прекарва 100 дни в Киргизстан, като през 84 от тях прекосява страната на кон.
⭐ ЗВЕЗДИТЕ НА БАНСКО ФИЛМ ФЕСТ 2026:
• 🇵🇱 Бартек Жемски (Полша) – полският височинен алпинист и ски-алпинист, който в засилващата се комерсиализация напомни по безкомпромисен начин, че има как човек да прави стойностни постижения, воден от ценностите, характерни за алпинизма от висока класа.
• 🇦🇺 Майкъл Дилън (Австралия) – режисьор на приключенски филми и личен оператор на Едмънд Хилари.
• 🇩🇪 Феликс Берг (Германия) – професионален лектор, алпинист и катерач, чиято кариера съчетава техническо катерене, височинен алпинизъм и експедиции в планините по целия свят. (Забележка: Феликс Берг е германски алпинист)
• 🇮🇹 Аарон Дурогати (Италия) – двукратен световен шампион по парапланеризъм и ярък представител на съвременния свободен полет.
• 🇬🇧 Пийт Уитакър (Великобритания) – един от водещите британски катерачи и световно име в катеренето по цепнатини и соловите изкачвания на големи стени.
Сред българските гости ще видим на сцената доц. Кънчо Долапчиев; световния рекордьор и един от водещите български парапланеристи Веселин „Весо“ Овчаров – първият български пилот, овладял infinity tumbling, поставил световен рекорд с 613 последователни завъртания и с личен XC рекорд от 555 км в Бразилия – с презентацията „Черно и бяло – летенето и изборът между това, което обичаш, и това, от което те е страх“; Пирин Галов – ултрамаратонец и планински бегач, завоювал второ място на Ticino Wildlands 500 след тежките 500 км в Алпите; инж. д-р Цветан Паров и д-р Кремена Георгиева с презентацията „Гигантските пещери на Лаос“; познатия от „Игри на волята“ Калин Христов, пещерняк от клуб „Под ръбъ“, който ще представи проекта „По следите на Ботевите четници“, свързан с изграждането на историческа пътека по местата, през които са преминали Ботевите четници след сраженията във Врачанския Балкан; Георги Бистрин, треньор на атлети от Спешъл Олимпикс Банско; и Тончо Тончев – единствения българин, изкачил два пъти Дхаулагири (8167 м) без допълнителен кислород, с презентацията „История на изкачванията на връх Дхаулагири (8167 м) в непалските Хималаи“.
🧒 BANSKOFILMFESTKIDS – НАШАТА КАУЗА:
Детска и младежка програма с открити уроци и активности за над 400 деца – конкурси, състезание по катерене, ориентиране, проникване в пещера, урок по Астрономия и още много приключения!

From 18–22 November 2026, at the foot of Todorka and Vihren, surrounded by the majestic marble peaks of the Pirin Mountains, we will once again come together to experience some of the most exciting stories from the world of mountains and adventure.
For a quarter of a century, we have been telling stories of the triumph of the human spirit in the wild. We have brought you outstanding films and introduced you to some of the world’s boldest contemporary adventurers, climbers, mountaineers and explorers. Together, we have shared unforgettable festival evenings and experiences that stay with us long after the lights go down.

🔥 BULGARIA’S FIRST AND LARGEST FESTIVAL DEDICATED TO MOUNTAINS AND EXTREME ADVENTURE
The country’s largest forum for mountain culture and adventure travel returns with a unique programme across 10 venues, creating an authentic and vibrant festival atmosphere:

🎬 PROGRAMME HIGHLIGHTS
Michael Dillon (Australia) – one of the most acclaimed filmmakers in the world of adventure cinema and Sir Edmund Hillary’s personal cameraman and friend. Dillon is travelling from Australia with a special film retrospective and stories from the expeditions he shared with the legendary mountaineer.
Bartek Ziemski (Poland) makes his first appearance at Bansko Film Fest. The ski mountaineer completed one of the season’s most impressive Himalayan achievements on Lhotse (8,516 m), the world’s fourth-highest mountain, before skiing down to Base Camp without fixed ropes, Sherpa support or supplemental oxygen. Just one week after Lhotse, he also completed a ski descent from Mount Everest.
Kiril Doskov presents “240 Years of Modern Mountaineering: The First Ascent of Mont Blanc.”
The premiere of Old Man Lightning – a humorous hit film accompanied by a motivational talk from American filmmaker Dawn Kish. The film follows American bouldering legend John “Verm” Sherman and his attempt to return to the iconic Midnight Lightning.
The premiere of Downhill Skiers – Ain’t No Mountain Steep Enough, a ski film by renowned Austrian filmmaker Gerald Salmina, exploring the addictive pull of extreme downhill skiing.
The premiere of the French film 4000 from Home, following extreme skier Vivian Bruchez and his ambitious project to ski all 82 Alpine peaks above 4,000 metres.
The premiere of Cherry on the Cake – come aboard the sailing boat Kamak as it heads towards Greenland and its pristine rock walls with beloved Belgian climbers Sean Villanueva, Nicolas Favresse and Jean-Louis Wertz.
The premiere of the Japanese film A Horse Is a Human’s Wings – Japanese traveller Yuji Taniguchi spends 100 days in Kyrgyzstan, including 84 days crossing the country on horseback.
⭐ THE STARS OF BANSKO FILM FEST 2026
🇵🇱 Bartek Ziemski (Poland) – Polish high-altitude mountaineer and ski mountaineer whose uncompromising approach, at a time of increasing commercialisation in high-altitude climbing, demonstrates that major achievements can still be pursued according to the values of high-level mountaineering.
🇦🇺 Michael Dillon (Australia) – acclaimed adventure filmmaker and Sir Edmund Hillary’s personal cameraman.
🇩🇪 Felix Berg (Germany) – professional speaker, mountaineer and climber whose career spans technical climbing, high-altitude mountaineering and expeditions to mountain ranges around the world.
🇮🇹 Aaron Durogati (Italy) – two-time paragliding world champion and one of the leading figures in contemporary free flight.
🇬🇧 Pete Whittaker (United Kingdom) – one of Britain’s leading climbers and an internationally renowned specialist in crack climbing and solo big-wall ascents.
Among our Bulgarian guests, the festival will welcome Assoc. Prof. Kancho Dolapchiev and world-record holder Veselin “Veso” Ovcharov, one of Bulgaria’s leading paraglider pilots. Ovcharov was the first Bulgarian pilot to master infinity tumbling, set a world record with 613 consecutive rotations, and has a personal cross-country record of 555 km in Brazil. He will present “Black and White – Flying and the Choice Between What You Love and What You Fear.”
Also joining us is Pirin Galov, ultramarathon runner and mountain athlete who finished second at the Ticino Wildlands 500 after completing the gruelling 500 km Alpine race.
Eng. Dr Tsvetan Parov and Dr Kremena Georgieva will present “The Giant Caves of Laos.”
Kalin Hristov, known from the Bulgarian reality show Games of Will and a caver with the Pod Raba club, will present “In the Footsteps of Botev’s Rebels,” a project dedicated to establishing a historical trail through the places crossed by Hristo Botev’s revolutionary detachment following the battles in the Vratsa Balkan.
Georgi Bistrin, coach of Special Olympics Bansko athletes, will also take the stage.
And Toncho Tonchev, the only Bulgarian to have climbed Dhaulagiri (8,167 m) twice without supplemental oxygen, will present “The History of Ascents of Dhaulagiri (8,167 m) in the Nepal Himalayas.”
🧒 BANSKOFILMFESTKIDS – OUR CAUSE
Our programme for children and young people offers open lessons and activities for more than 400 children, including competitions, a climbing contest, orienteering, cave exploration, an astronomy lesson and many more adventures.

The Bansko Film Fest adventure extends far beyond the cinema halls, bringing the festival atmosphere into our open spaces.
