Are you ready for a fun night out just before the official start of summer...that also benefits a great local cause? Join us for 21+ Charity comedy underground at the Grog! Each month the crowd is nearly or completely full and the laughs fill the room. This month will be no different! Our comedians perform all over New England and are ready to give you a fun night out. Your comedians for the evening are:
Host, Mark Moccia. Mark will be your host for the evening. Mark is a full time Technology guy at an awesome company who has a passion for giving back to charity and is a lifelong fan of standup comedy. He started performing comedy in 2018 and has recently pivoted toward mostly producing charity shows.
Headliner, Rob Steen. Rob has been doing comedy for 25 years. He began as a street performer at the age of 12 in Boston MA. Using his juggling and improv skills he decided to try Stand-Up! Since then he has kept a full calendar of over 350 shows per year! Rob has also been featured on several TV shows including The Late Show with Dave Letterman where he is a frequent guest. Rob is very high energy and will bring the whole audience together as a group with his unique style of crowd participation. His act is a mix of situations & observations that he has been in for the past 21 years of being an entertainer. Rob has been compared to Robin Williams due to his fast paced delivery & quick wit. Rob is great at working the crowd and making every show different. It is no wonder he is one of the most request comedians in the Northeast. Rob will keep you on your toes and laughing non-stop. Rob pays great attention to detail and is able to adjust his act to nearly any crowd. This ability to adapt to any situation is has made his shows very popular. He is great at incorporating the whole audience into his act. You never know where he will take you, but you will be laughing all the way. This is one act who is ready to BREAK OUT! Dan Donohue. Dan is a rising star on the comedy scene with a larger than life personality. He has opened for some of New England’s biggest names including Juston McKinney and will keep you laughing the entire time!
Joe Flynn. Joe Flynn has been described as a "likable curmudgeon" but prefers to think of himself as a "crazy, somewhat tolerable old bastard". He has performed all over New England, as well as Las Vegas, sharing his irreverent insights on pop culture, relationships, and mostly, himself. He has twice performed at the Bricks and Bridges Comedy Festival. He is available for kids' parties, but only if you're a terrible parent.
Cher Lynn. Cher is a comedian, actress, and writer. She was a Boston Comedy Festival Finalist and a Burbank Comedy Festival Finalist. She was featured in Rogue Island Comedy Festival, Cape Fear Comedy Festival, Lady Laughs Comedy Festival, and on the cover of Dig Boston. She recently headlined the Rockwell Theatre in Somerville to record her first comedy album and was featured in Season 13 of Kenan Thompson’s Ultimate Comedy Experience.
She has opened for Natasha Leggero, Lenny Clarke and Tony V. She has performed at L.A. Connection Comedy Theater in Los Angeles, and all over Boston and New England, at The Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center in Old Saybrook, Connecticut, Nick's Comedy Stop, Giggles Comedy Club, Headliner's Comedy Club, The Regent Theatre, Laugh Boston, The Comedy Studio, and Improv Boston.
Rasheed Townes. Rasheed Townes is a stand up comic and comedy writer. He performs regularly around Boston with many of Boston's national headliners. Eventually all this stage time will help him to look his wife in the eye without blushing. His jokes pull from pop culture and his experience as a stay-at-home dad, and a black-in-life man.
