POSTPONED to Saturday, 7th November, and now as a walking tour with a bus rideOur series of tours in Edinburgh to see 20th-century architecture continues with a stroll through the Liberton neighbourhood of Edinburgh. Join us on Saturday, 7th November, to see and learn about a range of existing and former buildings, including housing and various forms of civic infrastructure.
The tour will be guided by the architectural historian Clive B. Fenton and the conservation architect Carsten Hermann, both committee members of Docomomo Scotland.
We'll meet at 12:30 on Kirk Brae at Liberton Fire Station -now demolished as reported in our last newsletter- and make our way southwards and then cutting across to Alnwickhill.
Tickets cost £7 / concession £5 / Docomomo members £3 and must be bought in advance. Please note that this is a walk of about 1.5 miles. We'll make use of a public bus ride, the cost of which is not included in the ticket price.
