A week in the home of golf to kick off the 2027 golf season
About this Event

When it comes to international golf travel, one location is an absolute must: the home of golf.

In 2027, we're taking a group of FEGC members to St. Andrews for a week of amazing golf and cultural experiences. The group will be in the same hotel in downtown St. Andrews for the entire trip, only shuttling out to golf courses in the area and returning to town for dinner and nightlife. And while the Old Course is not guaranteed in this itinerary, the trip is structured to allow for maximum opportunities to see it iconic venue.

See below for full details.

A total of 16 spots are available on this trip. Due to the small size, participants will be selected via a lottery. You can enter as a single, twosome, or foursome

**This trip is priced at $1.33 USD to £1.00 and is dependent on the exchange rate leading into the trip. The quote is valid as long as the exchange rate stays between $1.28 and $1.38 to £1.00. If the exchange rate falls outside that parameter we will reprice the trip. The final price will also be adjusted should any course change rates (higher or lower) between now and the trip.

Travel Information

Airports - All participants will fly into and out of Edinburgh International Airport (EDI). Transportation will be provided from start to (nearly) finish, including to and from all rounds of golf and between locations. The only transportation you are required to cover is the short 10-minute Uber or cab to the airport on the day of departure.

Hotels - All participants will have premium accommodations throughout our trip. We'll spend all seven nights in the heart of St. Andrews at the Arran House Hotel.

Course Information

- An eight-time host of the Open Championship, Carnoustie is often regarded as one of the most difficult championship tests. And yet, despite its difficulty, Carnoustie's architecture and design is world-class and worthy of its acclaim.

- Compared to its Open Championship rota neighbor Carnoustie Panmure offers a pure Scottish experience with its traditions, historic clubhouse, and one of the country’s great stretches of golf.

- If you’re interested in an authentic links course filled with quirks and adventurous shots, don't look past Elie. Without a par 5 on the scorecard, it's a cult favorite for areason.

- Originally laid out by Old Tom Morris himself, Crail is an old-school kind of authentic Scottish links. The course is out on the point with only the North Sea to its east, an escape from reality in the best way.

- A modern twist for this trip, Kingsbarns is a 2000 Kyle Philips design that took a tired layout and infused life back into the club. The course is an annual host of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship

- Arguably the most under-appreciated course in the world as its overshadowed by its more famous brother, the New Course at St. Andrews is older than most golf courses in America and home to some of the most strategic golf in Scotland.

(if you win the ballot) - The grand daddy of them all.
