1958: The Tradition Continues. The Road to Nationals Starts in Campbell River!Firefighter curling in BC traces its roots to 1958, when Vancouver firefighter Aubrey Neff helped establish the movement that led to provincial associations and a national championship. The first national firefighter curling championship was held in 1960.
The BC Firefighter Curling Provincials continue this tradition, bringing firefighters together to compete, build friendships and earn the opportunity to represent British Columbia at the Canadian Fire Fighters Curling Championship — Nationals.
