We’re looking for Farmers' Market Committee Members to plan and run the 2027 ARAS Ardrossan Farmers' Market. -The market runs from beginning of June to end of September, from 4:30-7:30pm.
-It is an Alberta-approved Farmers' Market that began in 2019.
-It is currently a break-even social enterprise: it serves a purpose in our community, but is not run for a profit.
-It is enjoyed by many residents and vendors and continues to have potential to be a loved part of life in Ardrossan.
**The meeting to gather a committee will take place on Thursday October 22nd at 7 pm at the Ardrossan Memorial Hall.**

Key details to know:
ARAS will continue to sponsor and support the market, but the committee will take the lead on planning and organizing.
You’ll be responsible for decisions around the market’s logistics, timeline, budget, staffing, advertising, vendor management, and overall direction — with occasional check-ins with the ARAS board. The committee will determine its own roles and meeting frequency.
Deadline to form the committee: November 22, 2026
If we’re not able to put a full committee together by this date, the farmers' market won’t go ahead in 2027.
