About this Event
The 2027 National Association of State Foresters’ CMS-Wildland Fire Committee Meeting is expected to attract national leaders and exhibitors in the wildfire and forest management sectors and provide ample opportunity to interact with speakers, state forestry wildland fire officials, cooperators, and industry representatives.
The intent of the meeting is to gather all NASF Regional Fire Chiefs, Managers, and Supervisors, the NASF Fire Committee, and other cooperators / designees to improve collaboration, information sharing, and response related to the mission of Wildland Fire Suppression and Response across the nation and the three NASF Regions.
This meeting provides the opportunity to share information, collaborate, and coordinate efforts to maintain and improve the NASF member agencies’ interagency response to wildland fires, planning, training, and mitigation efforts. This forum will identify new and emerging opportunities as well as challenges and responses to improve operations and future accomplishments that support the mission of wildfire suppression and preparedness.
The 2027 NASF CMS-Wildland Fire Committee Meeting will be held at the Renaissance Austin Downtown in Austin TX, from January 12-14, 2027. The registration fee is $600 for attendees.
Registration will close on January 2, 2027.
After this date, the fee will rise to $700 for late registrations ($1800 for exhibitors), through January 5. Please ensure you are registered before the closing date. There will be no on-site registration. Registrations will not be accepted after January 5.
LODGING & TRANSPORTATION
The NASF room block rate at the Renaissance is $173/night. To book your discounted room, , or call 512-478-1111 and reference the 2027 NASF CMS-Wildland Fire Meeting.
You may reserve rooms with a check-in as early as January 10 if you are attending the New CMS Member Orientation or the NASF Fire Committee Meeting on Monday, January 11 .
Check-in for all other attendees begins January 11.
Check-out date for the group is January 15.
Reservations must be made no later than Saturday, December 19, 2026 in order to receive these rates.
The hotel is approximately 15 minutes from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, which is serviced by car rental companies, shuttle services, and rideshares. You can also reach the hotel via Capitol Metro, using the Downtown Station stop.
Valet parking is available ($59/day) and self-park ($20/day).
