The Clay Center invites patrons and supporters to join us for the 16th annual Carnaval on Saturday, January 30, from 7:30–11:30 PM at the Clay Center. This year’s celebration, “The Art of Illusion,” will bring an evening of creativity, entertainment, and unexpected experiences to life throughout the building.Guests will enjoy an evening featuring festive décor, exceptional food and drinks, live entertainment, and experiences designed to surprise and delight. Carnaval offers an opportunity to gather with friends and fellow Clay Center supporters while celebrating the arts, sciences, and education, and the important role they play in communities throughout West Virginia.
The 2027 celebration is co-chaired by Lindsey McIntosh and Bobbie Spry, who are working alongside the Friends of Clay Center Carnaval Committee to bring this year’s event to life. Their leadership, along with the support of community volunteers, sponsors, and Clay Center supporters, helps make Carnaval a memorable celebration each year.
The Ruth & J O Stone Foundation returns as the Presenting Sponsor of Carnaval 2027. Their continued support, along with the generosity of Carnaval sponsors and guests, helps make it possible for the Clay Center to provide meaningful STEAM experiences for children and families throughout West Virginia.
Carnaval is the Clay Center’s signature annual fundraising event, supporting education programs and ongoing operations. Over the past 15 years, Carnaval has raised more than $2.3 million, helping provide engaging educational experiences and opportunities for thousands of children and families across West Virginia.
Guests are invited to join us for an evening of celebration, connection, and discovery as we bring “The Art of Illusion” to life and come together to support the Clay Center’s mission.
