2026 York County 4-H Cooking Challenge

Cost: $10 per team
Who can participate: Youth ages 14–18. Teams will have 2 members.
About the challenge
Team up to prepare a chicken entrée using ingredients provided by the contest facilitators. Teams will have 40 minutes to cook their entrée and plate their meal.
What’s provided
Contest facilitators will provide the ingredients for the meal, a 6-foot table, and an outlet.
What to bring:
- Any permitted equipment or supplies from the attached National 4-H Food Challenge Team Supply Box list.

Contest facilitators do not provide utensils, plates, bowls, hot plates, or other cooking supplies. The attached supply box rules list the items teams may bring.

Membership requirement: Current 4-H membership in is required for participation in this event.
Custodial Care: Please note that this event and its coordinators do not assume custodial care of youth in attendance. Adults (parents, guardians, volunteers, coaches, or chaperones) must be present for the supervision of youth participants.
