The Wiregrass Film Exchange Festival brings a new kind of film event to the Dothan Opera House, putting young filmmakers from across the Wiregrass on the big screen for a one-night celebration of film, music, and emerging creative talent.Presented by AlabamaCreates, the festival will premiere the Top 10 student short films from this year’s Film Exchange competition, alongside live performances and a closing set from BRI3. Students are competing for professional filmmaking equipment, training, and opportunities designed to help them take their work beyond the festival and continue building as creators.
Built to give local high school filmmakers a stage worthy of their work, the Film Exchange Festival introduces a new platform for young creative talent in the Wiregrass, and a night designed to feel as big as what they’re capable of creating.
