AGM & Presentation - 7:00pm
Refreshments will be served.
The evening will start with guest speaker Millie Coleing exploring the raptors we see most often in our region and what the data can tell us about their changing presence on the landscape.
Millie is a Calgary-based Conservation Biologist with the Wilder Institute, where she leads and supports conservation translocation programs for species-at-risk. She also bands Northern Saw-whet Owls with the Calgary Bird Banding Society and monitors mountain bluebirds and tree swallows with the Calgary Area Nest Monitors Society, contributing to long-term migration and breeding monitoring in Alberta. Millie’s work has taken her across ecosystems in Canada and abroad, but she is especially passionate about the wildlife that shares space with us here in Calgary.
This presentation will be followed by our formal AGM that will conclude with one of our Naturalists, Kaya Konopnicki giving a presentation on the Ripple Effects Campaign.
Attendance can be in person or online. Only current members will be able to vote.
