About this Event
Don't Miss the 2026 Union Hall of Honor!
Get ready for an unforgettable night at the 2026 Union Hall of Honor celebrating those who’ve made a huge impact in Public Safety. This in-person event is your chance to connect, cheer, and celebrate our honorees. We are pleased to announce that this year's honorees are David Foreman from the Joliet Fire Department, past President, Associated Fire Fighters of Illinois; Florence Kelley (1859-1932), a Hull House adherent who became Illinois’ first factory inspector in 1893. Kelley was a lifelong activist in fighting sweatshops and child labor. Finally, Chicago Fire Department Engine Company Number 21 (founded in 1872), an African American firehouse credited with inventing the fire pole in 1888. They are being honored for their lifelong advocacy of union and human rights, and for their work to engage union members and labor activists. Bring your friends and join us for an evening full of stories, laughter, and memorable moments. It’s all about recognition, community, and honoring our labor history!
