DAV Chapter 27 in coordination with the Tippecanoe County Commissioners, City of Lafayette, and City of West Lafayette are hosting a Veteran Stand Down from 9:30 -11:30 am (Registration Required) and a Resource Fair from 12:00-2:00 pm (Open to the Public). All Veterans must be registered for the Stand Down in advance at one of the following locations: LTHC, LUM, MHA-WVR, MTK, NAMI, Outreach Advocacy Center, West Lafayette Library or the Lafayette / West Lafayette / Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Office homeless or social Outreach teams.
Services available include: housing, mental health, recovery, peer support, food, employment, disability resources, medical, and more with 50 local community organizations attending.
Sponsorships from City Bus, DAV Department of Indiana, Wintek, Indiana Department of Workforce Development, and others will make this service oriented event a hand up for those Veterans in need.
