On behalf of Skwlāx te Secwépemcúl̓ecw, we are excited to invite knowledge holders, artists, performers, and volunteers to be part of the 2026 Salute to the Sockeye Festival!
There are many ways to participate:
🌿 Support activities in the Elders or Medicinal Tipi
🏕️ Showcase historical and cultural items in the Cultural Tent
🪶 Demonstrate traditional skills and practices
📖 Share stories, teachings, and cultural knowledge
🛍️ Become an artisan vendor
👧 Encourage and mentor youth participation
🤝 Volunteer your time and talents
🔥 Participate in Opening Ceremonies
🔥 Participate in Closing Ceremonies
🐟 Share teachings and knowledge in the Skwlāx Fisheries Tent
🐻 Become a Sponsor
The 2022 Festival welcomed more than 52,930 visitors, and with your participation and support, we hope to make the 2026 Salute to the Sockeye Festival our biggest and most memorable celebration yet!
Let's come together to celebrate culture, community, salmon, and the strength of our traditions. We are excited to see familiar faces and welcome new participants to this incredible gathering!
