The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med) Nevada State Office of Rural Health (SORH) and partners are excited to present the Rural Nevada Health Summit, happening November 19–20, 2026, in celebration of National Rural Health Day. This national day shines a spotlight on the people, places, and partnerships that power rural communities — and we’re bringing that energy to Reno, NV.
This year, we’re leveling up. What was once a three‑hour program is now a two‑day statewide summit packed with inspiration, learning, and connection. Join us on the fourth floor of the Joe Crowley Student Union at the University of Nevada, Reno for presentations from health leaders, interactive exhibitor spaces, and a vibrant poster session featuring research and projects from professionals and students across Nevada.
On November 19 — National Rural Health Day — we’ll gather for a celebratory dinner honoring rural champions. During this special evening, we’ll recognize Nevada’s 2026 Community Star and present the NV SORH Rising Star Awards to individuals making a meaningful impact in rural health.
Whether you’re a seasoned rural health professional, a community partner, a student exploring the field, or an organization eager to support rural innovation, this summit is your chance to connect, collaborate, and celebrate the Power of Rural.
