The 13th annual Rock and Roll Over Brain Cancer Charity Concert will be held at Sweeney's Walnut Street Tavern on Sunday, August 30th!
Since our founding 15 years ago, Great Minds raised over $225,000 specifically for brain cancer research. Each summer, our organization throws a concert called “Rock and Roll Over Brain Cancer.”
Bring your family and friends for live music, great beer and a good time! This is our largest event of the year and has raised tens of thousands of dollars specifically for brain cancer research.
The event is open to all ages and admission for kids (under 16) is free!

Why Should You Attend Rock and Roll Over Brain Cancer and Support Great Minds?
- This event is super fun and Sweeney's, recently highlighted by Columbus Monthly as one of the city's coolest new bars, is a fantastic place to spend a Sunday afternoon!
- We'll have a 50/50 Raffle and a silent auction with great items available for you to bid on.
- Funding for brain cancer and brain tumor research is critical. But, compared to other cancers, brain cancer research is considered poorly funded (despite how common it is and how fatal some diagnoses can be). We raise money only for this cause.
- Great Minds is a community. For survivors, for families of survivors and those who have passed, and for the medical experts researching more effective treatments and, someday soon, a cure.
- We like to have fun. Our events bring together folks from across our community to do fun things, like listen to local live music!
- Great Minds is a 501(c)(3) and all proceeds from this event benefit the Lisa Landes Fund for brain cancer research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC – James).
