About this Event
The 2026 Provincial Restorative Justice Symposium is an immersive gathering designed to strengthen the restorative justice movement across the province. Building on the 2025 theme of “Justice as Healing,” this year’s symposium centers on the power of dialogue to bridge divides and foster holistic restoration. Under the theme Many Voices, Connecting Circles, we invite practitioners, educators, legal professionals, and community partners to explore how restorative justice can address complex harms and rebuild trust within our diverse communities.
The purpose of this symposium is to provide meaningful engagement and capacity-building opportunities for RJ programs and practitioners. Our work is anchored in the core values of interconnection, responsiveness, inclusion, and diversity. By centering these values, we aim to move beyond rigid, punitive systems toward trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices. The title Many Voices, Connecting Circles serves as a direct reflection of this intent—acknowledging that while our stories are diverse, our healing is interconnected. We seek to hold a “brave space” where every voice is heard, and every circle serves as a catalyst for collective reparation.
