Its happening whanau!!Our 2026 Reunion is happening Friday 20th and 21st November in Gisborne where we will launch our Priestley whanau history book.
The plan is for us to gather on the Friday evening for dinner, mix and mingle and the handing out of the books. Saturday will be visits to the local whanau historic places and other places of interest, and then another gathering for dinner that night. Sunday is a free day where you choose to stay on, or head off home.
This will be the last reunion for the descendants of Charles/Taraipine and William/Kate Priestley for a while, and realistically, the last opportunity for some of us oldies. Make the most of it whanau!!
There ARE some important housekeeping duties for us to tend to over the coming weeks...
1) Our whakapapa will be printed in the book and so we need you all to make sure that your branch is up to date and with correct spelling and vital dates. The deadline for this is September 1st. Updates and corrections to Merv Priestley directly. The different branch files will be posted here shortly where corrections and additions can also be submitted.
2) Our tipuna tribute chapters are almost finalized and if you would still like to contribute to these, the deadline to do that is also September 1st. Contributions to Robin Edwards.
3) The number of books to print. To ensure that you get your copy, please place your book orders with Robin Edwards thanks. We hope to keep them affordable. Sponsorship is welcome.
