Read on for information about entering our first annual PIE BAKING CONTEST
Home bakers, do you have what it takes to enter YOUR best pie into our PIE BAKING CONTEST? Are you ready to have your pie tasted, tested, and pontificated upon by the EASTON PIE LADIES and their judging panels? Are you OK with being in the running for winning fabulous PIE related prizes? Is YOUR PIE the BEST PIE?
Simply click below to select your pie category, pay the entry fee of $20 (Junior entrants $10), and secure your spot in the PIE+TART PIE BAKING CONTEST line up.
There are just a few rules.....
- Amateur/Home bakers only.
- Crusts must be made from scratch.
- Please bake one 9 or 10 inch PIE in a disposable foil pie plate (You may use your favorite pie dish but please be sure to take it with you when you leave)
- Recipe ingredients must be supplied for each pie entry. We will email you after sign up with details.

- BLUE RIBBON APPLE PIE
- SWEETS GALORE (no apple)
- SAVORY PIE
- SPECIAL DIET (Gluten free, Dairy free, Vegan etc)
- JUNIOR BAKER (ages 14 and under)
ENTER TO WIN 'BEST IN CATEGORY'
Prizes as follows:
1st Prize: Blue ribbon plus a $100 Pie+Tart gift cerificate
2nd Prize: $20 Pie+Tart gift cerificate
3rd Prize: $10 Pie+Tart gift cerificate
All entries will also be judged on the following 4 criteria with extra prizes being awarded for BEST....
- Appearance
- Filling
- Crust
- Creativity
COMMUNITY FAVORITE WINNER
All entries are in the running for the COMMUNITY FAVORITE PIE .
ONE pie will win a $50 PIE+TART gift certificate for the COMMUNITY FAVORITE PIE. The pie with the highest number of "MY FAVORITE PIE" community taster votes.
CONTEST DAY TASTING and JUDGING SCHEDULE
10-12pm DROP OFF YOUR PIE(S) at Pie + Tart.
12-1pm Community Judging Panel selected by raffle. (Wanna be on the pie judging panel? See our website for raffle details)
2-3pm Tasting by Judges and panel followed by a COMMUNITY tasters session.
3-4pm Winner announcements and Prizes
RECIPE CARD
Upon entry, every contestant will recieve an email from us to confirm their entry. Contestants must then provide a list of ingredients in their pie(s) via the form included in the confirmation email. We will print out recipe/ingredient cards for each pie and display the correct details by each pie on contest day.
