About this Event
Join us for the HDCA’s flagship event of the year, the annual Amartya Sen Lecture, featuring Prof Thomas Piketty at the Paris School of Economics, online and join a screening in Barcelona. This year’s lecture is titled “Global Justice Report: The Plan for Equality and Prosperity within Planetary Boundaries”.
Hosted as a hybrid session, the event will feature a presentation followed by a live discussion co-chaired by HDCA President Elaine Unterhalter (UCL) and HDCA Fellow Prathivadi Anand (University of Bradford).
Further details regarding the physical room and venue on the Paris School of Economics campus will be updated here shortly.
For those joining online, a direct streaming link will be sent to registered attendees prior to the event.
If you are in Barcelona, you can also register for a live screening ticket to join us in person at IQS (Via Augusta, 390, 08017 Barcelona, Spain).
This lecture is organised and sponsored by the Human Development and Capability Association (HDCA), a global community of academics and practitioners that seeks to build an intellectual community around the ideas of human development and the capability approach, and relate these ideas to the policy arena.
