Clear your calendar - Our 13th annual gala is right around the corner! You're invited to take part in the festivities as the adults of St. Thomas Early Learning Center celebrate the place we all hold dear to our hearts. The event will be held outdoors at the STELC campus. Attire is dressy casual. We cannot wait to see you there!Tickets can be purchased online until Oct. 14 at: https://event.auctria.com/2fe48b34-815e-4cc6-a112-6a3209876dcd/0035e4bf8b4d4c9da977ff854282d877
We are a ministry of St. Thomas Episcopal Church that exists to preserve childhood as a place of discovery, wonder and play. We seek to honor the pace of early childhood, care for God's creation, respect the dignity of each person and family, and cultivate a family-centered community. Each day, we work to bring joy to our school and church community and to the entire Brazos Valley.
Our Fall Gala is unequivocally a fundraiser, but it is also a joyful evening when the grown-ups in our community celebrate and support our mission. If it is in your financial wheelhouse, please consider purchasing tickets or a table for you and a few friends. You will enjoy delicious food staged on our playground, beverages from Threshold Vineyards and 3C Brewing, and music by the Blue Daniel Jazz Group. Although this is an adult event, the classrooms will be open so you can peek into the daily life of our students. If your social calendar is already full, please consider sponsoring a staff ticket or purchasing raffle tickets for a chance to win one of two beautiful David Yurman pieces donated by David Gardner's Jewelers. You might wonder why a preschool needs to fundraise at all. Events like Gala and Spring Festival close the gap between tuition revenue and the true cost of a STELC education. School leadership prioritizes staff salaries when budgeting, so tuition covers that very important expense. The extras that make the magic here on campus come through the generosity of those who have a heart for this place. They cover maintenance of Nick's Meadow and the playground, independent occupational therapy evaluations for students when our teachers request them, continuing education for staff, and unique art and Wonder Lab experiences and more.
