Join the Ashland County Historical Society for its 2026 Gingerbread Contest! We know that the sugared plums are dancing in our heads as we quickly approach the holiday season. So, use your imagination and best creativity to build your very own Gingerbread structure, and enter it in this year's contest!OPEN HOUSE VIEWING
Each entry will be on display during our special public viewing hours at the ACHS Manor House (414 Center St., Ashland) December 8-10 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. They will also be on display during our ticketed Victorian Lantern Tour.
Come explore the holiday decorations, storytime with the Ashland Public Library, and see who is victorious in 2026. The open house if free and open to the public.

To enter this year's Gingerbread Contest, visit our website www.ashlandhistory.org/events to view the 2026 RULES & REGULATIONS. There you will see the specifications for bases, materials, and more.
*There are 2 categories: ages 12 and under | ages 13 and up.
*$2 per entry.
*The winner of each group will receive a gift basket from Ashley’s Candy and Nut Shoppe.
Drop off for gingerbread entries will be:
--Saturday, December 5, between 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
--Sunday, December 6, between 1:00-3:00 p.m.
The winners will be selected by our expert panel of gumdrop experts and candy cane engineers!
