It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and there's no better way to kick off the holiday season than with one of our community's favorite traditions!Make plans to join us in downtown Erwin on Saturday, November 28, at 10:30 a.m. for the annual Erwin Christmas Parade!
This year's theme, "Christmas Through the Decades," is sure to bring a little nostalgia, lots of holiday cheer, and plenty of Christmas magic to Main Street!
Get ready to take a trip down memory lane as we celebrate the sights, sounds, and traditions of Christmases past! From old-fashioned Christmas charm and vintage holiday decorations to groovy '70s celebrations, totally awesome '80s memories, and all the Christmas favorites we grew up loving, this year's parade promises to be a festive journey through the generations.
Gather your family and friends, bundle up in your favorite Christmas sweaters, and find your perfect spot along the parade route! You'll enjoy festive floats, holiday music, smiling faces, and all the wonderful sights and sounds that make the Erwin Christmas Parade such a special hometown tradition. And, of course, no Christmas parade would be complete without a visit from Santa Claus himself!
Sensory-Friendly Viewing Area:
The Unicoi County Chamber of Commerce is proud to once again offer a designated sensory-friendly viewing area so that more families can comfortably enjoy this beloved holiday tradition.
Located along Main Avenue between Seventh and Eighth Streets, including the Food Lion shopping plaza parking lot, this section will feature reduced noise and subdued lighting to create a more comfortable parade experience for individuals with sensory sensitivities. Signage will identify the area, and parade volunteers will be available to assist.
Parade Route & Time:
The parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Erwin Village Shopping Center on North Main Avenue, travel through downtown Erwin, and conclude at Erwin Utilities on Love Street.
