New York Road Runners is proud to host its fourth annual Climate Week NYC event: Perspectives Shaping Climate Action through Sport. The event brings together leaders from the sustainability, science, and sports communities to explore how different perspectives can shape the way we understand and approach one of today's greatest threats.
This year’s panelists are Jasmyne Spencer, Professional Soccer Player; Dr. Eric Roy, Head of Science, Culligan International; and Errol Barnett, Anchor and National Correspondent, CBS News. The panel will be moderated by Tina Muir, Climate Advocate, Former Elite Marathoner, and Founder of Racing for Sustainability. Check out the “Line-Up” tab for more information on our speakers!
Following the 45-minute panel, join the panelists for a group plog, combining movement, fresh air, and a hands-on way to make an impact. Bags and gloves will be provided. No plogging experience is required, and runners or walkers of all paces are welcome. Restrooms and lockers (on a first-come, first-served basis) will be available.
