Join us for our legendary SUP Melbourne Christmas Social Paddle on the Yarra in town. This is a super fun, super festive paddle that is a truly unforgettable experience. Open to everyone and it’s free.
You must have previous paddle experience and you need to bring your own board, paddle and leash.
2pm - Arrive, find a park, get set up.
2.30pm - Gather at the dog park.
2.45pm - Mandatory pre-paddle brief.
3pm - On the water.
Meeting point - 104 Lorimer St Docklands. We’ll meet on the grass area near the dog park.
About the paddle:
We’ll launch from Yarra Edge marina and paddle upstream to Swan st bridge and back, taking in all the Christmas fun and festivities of the city. We’ll stop half way for drinks & nibbles.
What to bring.
Your board, leg rope and paddle. Christmas gear (Christmas rashie, ugly Christmas sweater, Santa hat, etc).
Drinks. BYO drinks to have at the half way stop.
This paddle is open to everyone in the SUP community, although you must have some previous SUP experience. This paddle is NOT ideal for first timers. Kids 11 years and under must have a life jacket on at all times.
Sorry, due to safety concerns, dogs (and other pets) are not permitted.
*If the weather is unsuitable on Saturday 19th, we’ll move the paddle to Sunday 20th
