Join Bishop Douglas Deshotel for the annual Blue Mass on Friday, October 2, at 12:05 p.m. at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Lafayette, celebrated on the Feast of the Guardian Angels.This special Mass honors and prays for the safety and protection of our police officers, sheriff’s deputies, state troopers, firefighters, emergency medical personnel, and all first responders who faithfully place themselves in harm’s way to protect and serve our communities. First responders, their families, and the entire community are invited to attend.
Following Mass, Acadian Ambulance will host a complimentary luncheon for first responders and clergy at its training facility, 2916 N. University Avenue, Building B, Lafayette. First responders and clergy attending the luncheon are asked to RSVP by Friday, September 25, at [email protected].
All are invited to attend as we gather in gratitude, asking God’s blessings upon these dedicated men and women and their families.
