AB BME is excited to host a value-added trainee development workshop on Sunday, November 1, 2026, from 9:00am-12:00pm.
As part of the conference offerings, AB BME has arranged for a Sunday workshop in collaboration with Alberta Innovates to explore “The Road to Health Innovation Success.” Alberta Innovates is the province's innovation engine, spanning the full innovation pipeline from idea to market.
A great idea is only the beginning – the workshop will go beyond the technology to other domains that can make or break a health innovation. What does it really take to turn a promising technology into an innovation that improves care in the real world?
This interactive session will explore the critical pieces that can make or break an innovation – product-market fit, business, regulatory, and technical development. Through hands-on activities and real-world insights, you will:
- uncover blind spots,
- learn from challenges encountered along the way, and
- discover skills and career paths involved in bringing health innovations into care.
