About this Event

Join us for an exciting in-person event at The Sheraton Hotel in Birmingham, AL. The 2026 Alabama Behavioral Healthcare Fall Conference is a must-attend gathering for behavioral health professionals in our State. Come together with fellow experts to discuss the latest trends, share innovative ideas, and network with like-minded individuals. This conference offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable insights and stay up-to-date with advancements in behavioral healthcare field. Don't miss out on this enriching experience!


SCHEDULE

On Wednesday, November 4th from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM, there will be an Opening Plenary featuring author and motivational speaker, Kody Green. Following the Opening Plenary, there will be a Welcome Reception for all attendees and partners.

On Thursday, November 5th, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, there will a MH/SU Clinical Track, ID/DD Clinical Track and an invite-only Executive Track throughout the day. Check-in begins at 7:30 AM, and lunch will be provided.

CONTINUING EDUCATION INFO

For this cosponsorship, NBCC has reviewed the relationship between the ACEP and the cosponsoring organization(s) and assessed the ACEP’s ability to oversee the cosponsorship and ensure NBCC Continuing Education Provider Policy compliance. JBS Mental Health Authority is a co-sponsor of this event. This co-sponsorship has been approved by the NBCC. JBS Mental Health Authority is solely responsible for this program, including the awarding of NBCC credit.

The program offers 6.00 contact hours for Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Nursing. Full attendance is required. There is no additional fee to apply for continuing education credit.

NOTE: JBS will accept application forms starting 11/5/2026 at 4:30 PM until 12/5/2026 at 4:30 PM. A link and QR code will be provided.

Instructional Methodology: May include lecture, demonstration, audio/visual, experiential practice of techniques, case vignettes.

Ethics Hours: This program offers no “ethics” hours.

Academic Credit: This program does not offer “academic credit” and CE hours awarded are not eligible to fulfill an academic degree.

Diagnosed with schizophrenia at the age of 21, Kody faced significant challenges, including substance abuse and legal troubles, before embarking on a path of recovery. He has maintained over 10 years of sobriety and uses his lived experiences to educate and inspire others.
