In October 2025, we undertook a focused tour of Bordeaux’s stellar 2020 vintage, a lineup that showcased all the hallmarks of a classically great year—ripe, generous fruit supported by the structure and balance that signal true age‑worthiness.
We now turn to 2022, a vintage rapidly emerging as one of the most compelling of the modern era. Despite a season defined by intense heat and drought, the wines display remarkable balance, concentration, and lift, surprising both critics and producers with their poise and grace. Across Bordeaux, 2022 delivers deep, ripe fruit energized by vibrant acidity and framed by finely textured tannins, offering clarity, freshness, and a strong sense of place even under challenging conditions.
A focused, engaging exploration of a vintage already regarded as a standout in Bordeaux’s contemporary landscape.
