PERFORMERS:
1) "Squirreled Away" by Flaming Cardboard Theater, including Lindsay M., Jason Hicks, and Kristi Ternes, with music by Joel Jackson and Walter Prettyman
A new Toy-Theater-esque puppet show depicting baffling backyard behavior, cardboard critters and a triumphant escape from normality! We will be performing the show live with live music in a traditional "booth" type stage.
2) "Demtrius's Wild ride!" by James Abbott, with Monty Etzcorn
Demetrius is forced to get a way when an old friend comes back in town. He pulls out every trick he has to escape!
3) "Simorgh" by Tom Carey
Sketch for a shadow puppet adaptation of Sufi allegorical poem, "A Conference of the Birds" by Attar. Shadow puppet designs based on/influenced by Persian and Arabic calligraphy.
4) "Revenge is for the Birds" by Allyson Gonzalez
Ever want to scream at somebody but couldn't find the words? Hire one of our aviation technicians at Not So Sub Tweets to do the dirty work for you!
5) "I Thought I" by Kate Brehm
A puppet show of frames about love and loss for tiny cardboard creatures.
6) "Voyeurs of Earth" by Bridget Quinn and Leslie Rogers
This collaboration is the next chapter of Ground Cinema, an interactive projection performance series by Bridget, in which microscopic scenes of the grotesque and beautiful are sourced from surrounding flora, fauna, and friends. We plan to make wearables that transform us into masses of plant matter and urban detritus, developing characters from our surroundings who observe the audience, rather than the other way around.
7) "Tiny Computer Smoking Cigarette Tries to Create the Worlds Best Loaf of Bread" by Zach Kolodziej
It is about a tiny chain smoking robot on wheels who works for a tech start up slash creative think tank slash in the whimsical labyrinth headquarters of the Zero One Building. Tiny robot computer dude gets hired to create the perfect loaf of bread. Can tiny robot do it? Find out in this doodle-style shadow puppet show with an original soundtrack inspired by Shrek and traditional Jewish prayer melodies.
