During this two day Horsemanship Clinic at Southern Sky Stables, we will focus on the fundamentals that truly make a difference.
This is not about quick fixes, but about understanding how your horse learns, improving your communication, and building a willing, responsive partner from the ground up.
What You’ll Work On:
-Building forward motion and direction with purpose
-Improving body control and softness in your horse
-Understanding how horses think and learn
Developing timing, feel, and consistency in your cues
-Creating a relaxed, willing, and mentally engaged horse
-Working through common issues with clarity and confidence
This clinic is perfect for riders who:
Want to strengthen their foundation and improve communication
Are working through resistance, lack of softness, or inconsistency
Want to better understand their horse and how to train effectively
Are looking to build confidence in both themselves and their horse
Michael and Julia tailor each clinic to the riders and horses present, so whether you are just getting started or looking to refine your skills, you will receive individualized guidance that meets you where you are.

🐴 Stalls available onsite for $25 per night (limited, be sure to reserve)
🚛 Haul-ins welcome at no additional charge
🌧 Indoor arena onsite, so weather is not a concern
