About this Event
Join us at CoLabCrafts for our 1st North County Artist Trading Card (ATC) Swap! We're bringing together artists, makers, crafters, and creative souls from throughout North County San Diego for a fun and inspiring gathering celebrating creativity, community, and the joy of making and sharing art.
Never heard of Artist Trading Cards? ATCs are miniature works of original art, traditionally measuring 2.5 x 3.5 inches (the size of a standard trading card). They can be created using virtually any artistic medium or technique, including painting, drawing, collage, stamping, mixed media, fiber art, photography, and so much more!
How does the swap work?
Bring your own handmade ATCs ready to trade, or come ready to get creative and make one (or more!) right here at CoLabCrafts! We'll have some art supplies available for you to use, but you're also welcome to bring your own favorite materials and creative tools.
Whether you arrive with a collection of finished cards or create something on the spot, you'll have the opportunity to exchange your little works of art with fellow artists, discover new styles and techniques, and leave with a collection of unique creations, fresh inspiration, and perhaps a few new creative friendships!
What to expect:
- A fun and friendly Artist Trading Card exchange.
- An opportunity to meet and connect with local North County artists and makers.
- Inspiration from seeing everyone's unique artistic styles and creative approaches.
- A chance to experiment with different materials and techniques.
- A welcoming space to create, share, learn, and make new creative connections.
What to bring:
- Your handmade ATCs, if you have some ready to trade.
- Your favorite art supplies and materials, if you'd like to create at the event.
- Your creativity, curiosity, and enthusiasm!
Don't have any ATCs yet? No worries! That's part of the fun. Come learn about them, make your first card, and join in the exchange.
Whether you're an experienced ATC collector, a seasoned artist, a passionate crafter, or completely new to the world of Artist Trading Cards, everyone is welcome!
Let's celebrate creativity, build connections, support local artists, and start a wonderful new North County tradition — one little piece of art at a time!
