Remember when fun didn't have to be complicated?
When kids came home dirty, neighbors knew each other, competition involved a burlap sack and bragging rights, and some of the best days were spent outside with good food, farm animals, and people you loved?
Well, we're bringing a little bit of that good stuff back!
Join us for the 1st Annual Echoes of Eden Care Farm Harvest Festival & Farm Olympics—an old-fashioned celebration of the harvest, farm life, family, community, and good-natured competition.
This isn't a carnival.
We're going back to the roots of the fall festival—to the kind of simple, wholesome fun generations of families enjoyed long before screens and schedules filled every spare minute.
Think burlap sacks, stick horses, caramel apples, farm animals, pumpkins, vintage games, dirty hands, good food, friendly competition, and plenty of reasons to laugh.
🏆 THE FARM OLYMPICS
Prepare yourselves for The Great EECF Sack Race Championship.
Kids, teens, adults—and even local businesses and community organizations—will have the chance to compete for prizes, trophies, bragging rights, and possibly the loss of a little dignity!
We'll also have the Little Buckaroos Stick Horse Derby for our youngest competitors and plenty of old-fashioned games for those who prefer their fall festivities to involve a little less... exertion.
🍎 AROUND THE FARM
Spend the afternoon wandering the farm, visiting the animals, playing vintage games, exploring local vendors, enjoying good food, grabbing a caramel apple or cider, and letting the kids experience the kind of unhurried outdoor play childhood deserves.
Some things may be a little messy.
Somebody will probably fall down during the sack race.
And there will almost certainly be hay where hay does not belong.
But happy memories will be made. Because sometimes the simplest days become the memories we carry forever.
🌾 MORE THAN A FESTIVAL
This little event is incredibly special to us...
Echoes of Eden Care Farm was built around a simple belief: people need places to reconnect—with animals, with nature, with one another, and sometimes with parts of themselves that have gotten lost in the noise of life.
Our Harvest Festival & Farm Olympics is an extension of that.
We hope it grows into a beloved San Angelo tradition—one that celebrates our agricultural roots, brings generations together, strengthens community, and helps support the work of Echoes of Eden Care Farm for years to come.
But no matter how big it someday becomes, we hope it always feels:
Simple. Wholesome. A little bit ridiculous. And full of the things that remind us life can still be good.
Because our community is tired... A lot of people are carrying things nobody else can see.
And sometimes a gift doesn't have to be complicated.
Sometimes it looks like an open farm gate, a caramel apple, a bunch of animals, and a really good sack race. 🩷
So, for a few hours, we want families to put down the phones, forget the schedules, breathe some fresh air, laugh together, cheer ridiculously loudly for someone hopping across a finish line in a burlap sack, and remember what community feels like.
Come make some memories with us.
Come celebrate the harvest.
Come celebrate farm life.
Come celebrate each other.
And maybe come prepared to defend your honor in a burlap sack. 😂🏆
