Come see what's growing at Burbank schools, and tell us what you'd like to see next.Across BUSD, families and staff have been quietly making campuses greener. Gardens where there used to be asphalt. Kids sorting waste and shrinking what leaves the school in a dumpster. Bike buses rolling in on school mornings. A costume swap every October instead of another landfill run.
The evening comes in two parts.
Open house. Parents, teachers, and staff who built these projects share what worked, what didn't, and its impact. Short talks, real stories, real impact.
Community workshop. Your turn. What have you noticed at your school? What's working? What would you change? We'll gather at tables by topic from green spaces, bike buses, to health and wellness.
We're listening for what matters most to you, because that's what we'll build next.
You don't need any background or expertise in this. If you care about your kid's school, their environment, their health and wellness you belong in the room. And if they care, they belong.
Parents, students, teachers, staff, and community members are all welcome. Kids of any age welcome. Light refreshments served.
