After the bubbling Overture in the Italian Style by Schubert, star pianist, Lauryna Sableviciute will be our soloist for Mozart’s Piano Concerto No 23 in A major. After a free Interval glass of wine, you will probably recognise Boyce’s short and happy Symphony No 4, a regular choice by listeners to ClassicFM radio .
The main work in the programme is Beethoven’s optimistic and cheerful Symphony No 2: always a delight to hear this symphony with a vision of future masterpieces to come.
