We are pleased to announce that Paul N. Heath, Director and President of Richards, Layton & Finger, will deliver this year's keynote presentation. Founded in 1899, Richards, Layton & Finger is Delaware’s largest law firm. The firm has helped sophisticated clients navigate complex issues and the intricacies of Delaware law, serving Fortune 500 companies, major financial institutions, local businesses, and global law firms across a wide range of practices, drawing on deep experience and a practical understanding of the state’s legal landscape. Elected president in 2025 after serving as the firm’s executive vice president, Paul is focused on building on Richards Layton’s strengths and positioning the firm for the future. He is committed to the firm’s role in mentoring the next generation of Delaware lawyers and helping ensure Delaware remains a compelling place for talented professionals to build their careers.
Another highlight of the Annual Dinner is the presentation of Delaware’s highest business honor—the Josiah Marvel Cup. Named in honor of Josiah Marvel who reorganized and served as the first president of the modern-day State Chamber, this award recognizes a Delawarean who has made an outstanding contribution to the state, community, or society. Recent recipients include Michelle DiFebo Freeman, Hon. Thomas R. Carper, Gary R. Stockbridge, Stacey J. Mobley, Fred C. Sears II, Major General (Ret.) Francis D. Vavala, Gerrett and Tatiana Copeland, Joshua Martin III and Cynthia Primo Martin, and former President Joe Biden and former First Lady Jill Biden. In keeping with tradition, the honoree is held in confidence until the event.
